{Sales Tip} Pitch in terms of your observers interests and objectives – not your own

Put your ideas in terms of the clients interest. Forget about your own.

Example

Some guy pitching a recycling agenda to a company that uses packaging plastic.

Environmentally conscious man presents his idea to a client in terms of cutting expenses. By encouraging customers to recycle the plastic packaging by sending it back to the company — at the same time, marketing the much publicly favored eco-friendly product trend.

The company cuts costs on new material, man gets to see his eco-minded plan come to fruition.

A cherry plucked example, I know – but hopefully you get the idea.
